Ingredients:
6 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
6 eggs |
3 cups sugar |
1/2 pound butter, at room temperature |
1/2 cup vegetable shortening, at room temperature |
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon extract |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg |
1/2 cup water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar, butter, shortening, lemon extract, nutmeg and water. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch circle biscuit cutter. 3. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in oven for 15 to 25 minutes, or until slightly golden on the edges. Serve. |
