This is my favorite pumpkin pie recipe. Recipe from Farm Journal. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup pumpkin; cooked and mashed |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon flour |
2 whole eggs; slightly beaten |
1 cup evaporated milk |
2 tablespoons water |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 - 9 inch unbaked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, spices and flour in mixing bowl. 2. Add eggs; mix well. 3. Add evaporated milk, water and vanilla; mix. 4. Pour into pie shell. 5. Bake in 400 oven 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. 6. Cool on rack. 7. Makes 6-8 servings. |
