The measurements for sugar and sesame oil are the way I found the recipe-they can be adjusted according to your taste. Yummy served with Fried Rice. Ingredients:
3 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes |
peanut oil, for frying |
sesame seeds |
3 drops sesame oil |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon cooking wine |
2 tablespoons water |
1 teaspoon vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 cup water |
1 cup chicken broth |
1/8 cup vinegar |
1/4 cup cornstarch |
1 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 teaspoon chili paste or 1 teaspoon hot sauce |
1 garlic clove, minced |
Directions:
1. Mix marinade ingredients in medium bowl. 2. Add chicken cubes and marinate at least 20 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, mix sauce ingredients in medium saucepan. 4. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Reduce heat to low while cooking chicken. 5. Heat peanut oil for frying. 6. Add marinated chicken pieces, a few at a time, to the hot oil. 7. Cook until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. 8. Bring sauce back to boil. 9. Place chicken in serving bowl and pour sauce over. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. |
