Tasty Macaroni and (Unusual) Cheese |

Own concoction! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups dried macaroni noodles |
150 g quark |
50 g havarti cheese |
25 g gouda cheese |
1 onion |
2 sticks celery |
2 eggs |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 teaspoons paprika |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. 1. On the stove top, bring a pan of salted water to the boil. At the same time, heat the oil in a separate pan over a medium heat. 2. 2. When the water is boiling, add the pasta. At the same time add the chopped onion and celery to the pan containing the oil (carefully, it might spit!). Cook both, stirring occassionally, for 6-8 minutes (until the pasta is the desired texture). 3. 3. Meanwhile beat the eggs and combine them in a bowl with the grated cheeses, salt, and pepper. When the vegetables are cooked, add this mixture and stir quickly and thoroughly. 4. 4. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce: then stir in the paprika. 5. 5. Heat gently for a further minute, then serve immediately. |
