Easy!! Goes well as a side dish. Try using splenda in place of the sugar! Found this in a school cookbook while in Nurenburg, Germany. Ingredients:
3 medium tart cooking apples |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/3 cup margarine |
Directions:
1. Wash and core apples. 2. Cut apples in quarters and slice each quarter into 3 of 4 sections. 3. Put in heavy skillet, sprinkle with sugar, and add margarine. 4. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes. 5. Uncover and cook 10 to 15 minutes until apples are tender and transparent. |
