I like collard green and do eat them on ocassion! Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds collard greens |
1/4 cup olive oil, canola oil or butter |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
6 to 8 cloves garlic, finely chopped |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut collard greens into 1/2-inch strips. 2. Wash well and drain. 3. Bring salt water to boil, add greens and bring to a boil again. 4. Simmer for 5 minutes or until tender. 5. Drain. 6. Sauté garlic and onion in a little oil until tender. 7. Add greens and season with salt and pepper. |
