Used this with some thick steaks (loin) and it was wonderful and helped produce a wonderfully juicy and tender steak. The original recipe said to marinate a minimum of 15 minutes but that seems way to short of a time - my steaks were in the marinade for over 4 hours. I have also used cubed beef and made skewers with onion, peppers and mushrooms and it was delicious too. Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) can beer |
1/2 cup green onion, chopped |
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons garlic, minced |
4 beef steaks (about 8 oz each) |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients (except the steaks). Set aside 3/4 cup for basting later. 2. Pour remaining marinade into a large resealable bag and add the steaks. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for a minimum of 15 minutes (mine stayed in over four hours). 3. Drain and discard the marinade. Grill steaks over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side until meat reaches your desired temperature (medium is 160F); basting with reserved marinade as you grill. |
