Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, flour, and salt in a small heavy saucepan; add water, stirring until mixture is smooth. Bring mixture to a boil; cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; add butter, grated lemon rind, and lemon juice, stirring until butter melts. Serve warm over pudding or gingerbread.
