TAQUITOS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brady Estate in Fate, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese grated |
1 package taco seasoning |
15 ounce can refried beans |
1 package won ton skins |
4 tablespoons chopped green chilies |
1/2 cup pepper jack cheese grated |
Directions:
1. Vegetable oil for deep frying 2. Chunky salsa 3. Sour cream 4. Cook ground beef until browned then drain well. 5. Mix in taco seasoning, beans, cheese and chilies. 6. Place a generous teaspoon mixture on center of wonton skin. 7. Fold sides over forming an envelope then moisten points and press to seal. 8. Repeat until all skins are filled then fry a few at a time in hot oil for 1 minute per side. 9. Serve with salsa and sour cream. |
