A tangy alternative to meatloaf Ingredients:
1 large onion |
1 lb lean ground beef, made into four patties |
4 tablespoons water |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Slice the onion, separate into rings and then spread them in the bottom of a 8x8 baking dish. 2. Lay the hamburger patties on top of the onions. 3. Mix together the water, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and ketchup. Pour over the meat. 4. Bake for 35-45 minutes, basting frequently until done. 5. Serve with onions over the top of the patties. 6. As I make this recipe more and more, I have gotten to where I chop the onions as it makes it easier to serve over the meat patties at the end. |
