Most pumpkin pies are just too-well- pumpkiny for my taste. This one is a pumpkin pie that is more delicately flavored with pumpkin. My family would howl if I did not make it Thanksgiving and Christmas Ingredients:
6 eggs |
3 cups sugar |
3 tablespoons flour |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup melted butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1/2 lemon, juice of |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin |
2 -3 unbaked prepared pie crusts, depending on how deep and wide the pans are. i use pillsbury pie crusts from the refrigerated sectio |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients with mixer until well blended. 2. Pour into 2 or 3 pie crusts. 3. Bake at 400F for 45 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean. |
