Sample this super-easy homemade yogurt called Leban over baked potatoes, in dips, or alongside spicy, savory meat dishes. Ingredients:
1 quart whole milk |
1 (5-ounce) can evaporated milk |
1/2 (8-ounce) container plain yogurt |
Directions:
1. Cook whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat 10 minutes or just until it begins to boil and candy thermometer registers 190°. (Do not bring to a full boil.) Stir in evaporated milk; remove from heat. Let stand until a candy thermometer registers 150°. 2. Whisk in yogurt until smooth; cool 10 minutes. Cover and let stand 8 hours. Chill. |
