Tangy Sweet and Sour Meatballs

From Second Helpings cookbook.Very tasty, simple to make with few ingredients.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 1/2 cups ketchup
2 cups ginger ale
Directions:
1. Mix first 6 ingredients.
2. Shape into small balls.
3. Put gingerale and ketchup into large pot and bring to a boil.
4. Add meatballs ,cover and simmer for 2 hours.
