This is the butter recipe we use to dip our steamed artichoke leaves in - terrific! (This is supposed to serve 4, but we use a lot on each artichoke leaf, so for us it only serves 2.) Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
1 tablespoon lemon juice (to taste) |
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley |
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1/8 teaspoon a small dash hot sauce |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter; stir in lemon juice, parsley, garlic powder, salt and cayenne. Mix together and put in small individual bowls for dipping. |
