This recipe is good for those times when you just want to toss a steak on the grill. It requires no marinating, and the tangy basting sauce is made from readily available ingredients. Ingredients:
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 1/2 pounds beef top sirloin steak |
Directions:
1. Preheat grill for medium heat. 2. In a small bowl, mix together soup, sugar, lemon juice, oil, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and thyme. 3. Place steak on lightly oiled grill rack over medium hot heat. Grill for 6 to 10 minutes, uncovered, turning once. Brush often with soup mixture. When done, allow to rest a few moments off the heat. 4. Transfer any remaining sauce to a small saucepan, and heat to boiling. Serve with steak. |
