After a BIG night of drinking & only four hours sleep at The Tamworth Country Music Festival (5 hours north of Sydney Australia), I was back in a pub & taking crap at 9am because I was drinking a very refreshing but non alcoholic Aussie drink called Lemon, Lime & Bitters. A quick word to the bartender & three shots of vodka being added to my drink saw my integrity & my cloudy brain back on track ! The Tamworth Breakfast was born,...CHEERS ! (measurements are approximate & are for about a 20oz (500ml) glass. Ingredients:
3 ounces vodka (90ml) |
1 tablespoon sweetened lime juice (roses or other brand) |
1/2 teaspoon angostura aromatic bitters |
12 fluid ounces sprite or 12 fluid ounces schweppes lemonade |
Directions:
1. In one quick motion, spin & flick the Angostura bitters straight from the bottle around the inside of the glass in a circular motion just to form a random partial lining on inside of glass. 2. Add ice to glass, pour vodka over ice, pour sweetened lime juice over ice & top off with Schweppes Lemonade or Sprite. |
