THIS IS MY RECIPE FOR SPANISH RICE. ITS SUPER EASY AND SUPER GOOD. WE EAT OUR SPANISH RICE WITH A POT OF PINTO BEANS, CABBAGE AND A PONE OF CORNBREAD. ENJOY! Ingredients:
1 lb. hamburger chuck |
your choice of seasonings |
2 pkgs lipton spanish rice |
1 can rotel tomatoes |
1 yellow onion (diced) |
1/2 cup green onions (diced) |
1/2 cup bell pepper, red, green, or yellow (diced) |
butter |
parsley |
4 cups water |
Directions:
1. BROWN HAMBURGER MEAT DRAIN GREASE 2. IN A SEPARATE SKILLET SAUTE THE ONIONS AND BELL PEPPER 3. IN A DEEP POT COMBINE: HAMBURGER MEAT, VEGETABLES, BOTH PACKAGES OF LIPTON SPANISH RICE, ROTEL TOMATOES AND 4 CUPS OF WATER, PARSLEY AND 2 TABLESPOONS OF BUTTER AND YOUR SEASONINGS. (I USE NATURES SEASONING) 4. BRING TO A BOIL 5. BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES 6. TURN HEAT DOWN TO MEDIUM AND LET DISH COOK UNTIL DONE.. 7. THE PICTURE IS NOT MY RECIPE FOR SPANISH RICE! MINE IS SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS BUT REMEMBER MY RECIPE HAS HAMBURGER MEAT, ROTELS AND GREEN ONIONS. |
