Ingredients:
1 pound(s) ground beef browned |
1/2 whole(s) medium onion chopped |
3 clove(s) garlic minced |
1/4 teaspoon(s) oregano |
1 -8 oz can(s) rotel |
1 can(s) ranch style beans |
1 tablespoon(s) chili powder |
cornbread batter |
1/2 cup(s) cornmeal |
1/2 cup(s) flour |
2 tablespoon(s) sugar |
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 cup(s) milk |
2 tablespoon(s) oil |
1 whole(s) egg |
2 tablespoon(s) jalapeno peppers (optional) |
1/3 cup(s) cheddar cheese 1/2-inch cubes |
Directions:
1. FILLING: 2. Brown meat and onions, drain, add tomato sauce, beans, chili powder, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Add enough water so mixture is covered. Simmer 15-20 minutes. Pour into a 2 quart baking dish and top with cornbread batter. 3. Bake in 425° oven 25 minutes. 4. - 5. Combine all ingredients for Corn Bread Batter and add when needed |
