From an old recipe card. It specifies garlic powder, but I would probably make it with fresh mashed garlic. The number of servings is an estimate only. Ingredients:
1/3 cup tahini, stirred well (sesame paste) |
fresh lemon juice |
1 small dash garlic powder |
good dash cumin |
salt |
water |
Directions:
1. Mix tahini with 1 T lemon juice, garlic, cumin and salt. Add more lemon juice gradually if needed, and correct seasoning. 2. Thin to desired consistency with water. 3. Cover and refrigerate if not used right away, but let stand to room temperature before using. |
