I stopped buying those seasoning packets. This is so easy to make and I bet you have all the ingredients on hand. I usually double or triple the recipe to have on hand for quicker meals. Store tightly covered in a plastic container. Recipe makes enough for 1 pound of seasoned hamburger. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon chili powder |
3/4 teaspoon paprika |
3/4 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt or 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/2-3/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. combine ingredients and add to 1 pound of browned and drained ground beef or cooked diced chicken and stir in water slowly to desired consistency. You want it a little soupy to start with. Simmer 5 minutes. Enjoy! I sometimes add in one tsp of onion flakes in while simmering. |
