This is a quick and easy recipe that is just plain delicious. They are not the healthiest of dishes, but every once in a while it is a good comfort food to make. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 chopped onion |
1 (1 ounce) envelope taco seasoning |
2 (17 1/3 ounce) tubes large refrigerated biscuits |
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. 2. Add the taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions. Cool slightly. 3. Flatten half of the biscuits into 4 inch circles; place in greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pans. 4. Spoon 1/4 cup meat mixture onto each cup, top with 1/4 cup of shredded cheese. 5. Flatten remaining biscuits; place on top and pinch edges to seal tightly. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. 7. (Try variations with this. Add a little salsa - drained, add corn, etc. Just make sure to minimize the liquid so not to have a negative effect on the biscuits.). |
