Originally made as a lettuce taco salad. It quickly became soggy so I substituted pasta. Easy and inexpensive to prepare. My husband requests this salad frequently. It can easily be served a a Main Dish.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup taco sauce, mild
1 cup chili bean, and sauce
1/2 cup small onion, chopped
1 cup fresh diced tomato
3/4 cup sliced black olives
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons jalapenos (optional)
2 cups pasta, before boiling (i use radiatore)
1 cup kraft green goddess salad dressing
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to directions.
2. Brown and crumble ground beef until done. Add taco sauce. I usually use about 1/2 cup.
3. Combine all ingredients into a large bowl. Mix and refrigerate. You may need to add extra dressing after refrigeration.
