Originally made as a lettuce taco salad. It quickly became soggy so I substituted pasta. Easy and inexpensive to prepare. My husband requests this salad frequently. It can easily be served a a Main Dish. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 cup taco sauce, mild |
1 cup chili bean, and sauce |
1/2 cup small onion, chopped |
1 cup fresh diced tomato |
3/4 cup sliced black olives |
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons jalapenos (optional) |
2 cups pasta, before boiling (i use radiatore) |
1 cup kraft green goddess salad dressing |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to directions. 2. Brown and crumble ground beef until done. Add taco sauce. I usually use about 1/2 cup. 3. Combine all ingredients into a large bowl. Mix and refrigerate. You may need to add extra dressing after refrigeration. |
