Simple and easy and oh so good! Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1 can (15 oz) chili beans |
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce |
2 tablespoons taco sauce |
4 teaspoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or salt |
1 tomato, chopped |
2 cups tortilla chips |
1 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup sliced green onions with tops |
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Cook beef and drain. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, taco sauce, chili powder and garlic powder. Heat to boiling. Place chips in ungreased 12x8x2-inch baking dish. Top with beef mixture. Spread with sour cream. Sprinkle with onions, tomatoes and cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 20-30 minutes or until hot. Arrange additional tortilla chips around edge of casserole. Serve with shredded lettuce, chili peppers and taco sauce, if desired. |
