NICE, SPICY BEAN DIP WITH ALL THE EXTRAS. Ingredients:
two cans refried beans |
one jar hot salsa |
one large onion diced |
2-3 cups shredded cheddar or mexican blend cheese |
two 8 oz packages of cream cheese |
one large container of sour cream |
one packet spicy taco seasoning |
2 pounds hamburger |
lettuce chopped |
tomatoes diced |
tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. HEAT TWO CANS REFRIED BEANS ON STOVE, WHEN JUST STARTING TO SOFTEN ADD SALSA TO MAKE SOMEWHAT POURABLE, BUT STILL THICK. 2. ADD FRESH ONIONS TO TASTE, COOK THOUROUGHLY, ADD SHREDDED CHEESE AND LET COOK UNTIL MELTED. 3. SPREAD OUT ON PAN AND LET COOL. 4. SOFTEN TWO LARGE PACKAGES CREAM CHEESE TO ROOM TEMP AND MIX WITH A LARGE CONTAINER OF SOUR CREAM AND A PACKAGE OF TACO SEASONING. 5. LAYER ON TOP OF BEANS. 6. COOK 2 POUNDS OF HAMBURGER, JUST AS YOU WOULD FOR TACOS – ADD THE TACO SEASONING AND I ALSO USE GARLIC PEPPER WHEN COOKING THE HAMBURGER. 7. LET IT COOL THEN LAYER ON TOP OF THE CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE. 8. TOP WITH LETTUCE, ONIONS, SHREDDED CHEESE AND TOMATOES. COOL TO DESIRED TEMP, SERVE WITH TORTILLA CHIPS. |
