I found this in a magazine a few months ago. I don't remember which magazine it was. Ingredients:
taco meat filling |
1 pound ground beef |
1 pkg. taco seasoning |
batter |
cooking spray |
3/4 c. ap flour |
1/2 c. corn meal |
2 envelopes rapid rise yeast |
1 tbs. sugar |
1/2 tsp. salt |
3/4 c. very warm milk |
3 tbs. corn or vegetable oil |
1 egg |
topping |
1 c. shredded cheese (your choice) |
1 c. partially crushed corn chips |
1 c. chunky salsa |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and drain. 2. Add taco seasoning and mix well. 3. Mix batter ingredients together in a pre-sprayed 9 inch deep dish pie tin. 4. Top batter with taco meat filling. 5. Pour salsa evenly over meat then sprinkle with corn chips and cheese. 6. Bake by placing in a COLD oven, then set to 350°F. 7. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. |
