Here's a one-dish family pleaser with all your favorite Mexican ingredients- cheese, taco seasoning and tortilla chips. Ingredients:
taco meat filling |
1 pound ground beef |
1 1/4 ounce taco seasoning |
batter |
1 cooking spray |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup masa corn flour or corn meal |
1/2 ounce yeast |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup milk, very warm (120 degrees f to 130 degrees f) |
3 tablespoons corn oil |
1 egg |
topping |
1 cup shredded cheese, mexican-style |
15 tortilla chips, partially crushed |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and drain. Add taco seasoning and mix well. 2. Mix batter ingredients together in a large bowl. 3. Put batter in pre-sprayed 9-1/2-inch deep dish pie plate. 4. Top batter with taco meat filling. sprinkle with shredded cheese and tortilla chips. 5. Bake by placing in a COLD oven; set temperature to 350 degrees F. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. |
