1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup shortning |
1/3 cup light sour cream |
1 cup corn syrup |
3 cups flour |
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa |
1 tsp baking soda |
1 tsp salt |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 tsp ground clove1/4 tsp nutmeg |
1/4 tsp ground ginger |
additional sugar |
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, cream sugar and lard until blended. Add sour cream and corn syrup; mix well. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and spices; add o creamed mixture and mix well. 2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough. Sprinkle with additional sugar. Cut out with a round cookie cutter. 3. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. 4. Bake 350 degree for 7-10 minutes. 5. Remove to wire racks. |
