Comfort Food, serve sauce over mashed potatoes or rice. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs cube steaks (4 cube steaks) |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
salt and pepper |
all-purpose flour |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
2 teaspoons minced garlic |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 3/4 cups water |
1 medium onion (sliced) |
1 medium red pepper (sliced) |
Directions:
1. Season steaks to taste with garlic powder and salt&pepper. 2. Dust steaks with flour. 3. In a large skillet add oil and brown steaks on both sides. 4. Transfer steaks to crock pot. 5. In the skillet, combine garlic, tomatoes, onion, red pepper and water, stir. 6. Pour mixture over steaks in crock pot, cover. 7. Cook on low heat 4-6 hours depending on your crock pot. 8. When done, season to taste. 9. Enjoy. |
