This is cheesy bread to the extreme. Make sure your friends are around when you make this. It is best fresh from the oven. Ingredients:
1 loaf round unsliced italian bread |
1 8 oz. block swiss cheese, cut in cubes |
1 cup sliced mushrooms |
1/4 cup butter |
1 small onion finely chopped |
1 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds |
2 garlic cloves minced |
1/2 teaspoon lawry's seasoned salt |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Cut bread in 1 inch slices to within 1 inch of bottom of loaf. Do not cut through. Repeat slices in opposite dirction. 2. Stuff cheese cubes and mushrooms in between slices. 3. Place the rest of ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes- or until butter is melted. Spoon butter mixture over loaf, getting it down into crevices. 4. Wrap loaf in foil. 5. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until cheese is melted. |
