This came from Favorite Recipes Great American Pies. I have not tried this, just posting for safe keeping. Ingredients:
9 inches unbaked pastry shells |
2 cups cubed cooked chicken or 2 cups turkey |
4 ounces shredded swiss cheese |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon wyler's chicken flavored instant bouillon or 1 tablespoon steero chicken flavored instant bouillon |
1 cup borden milk or 1 cup meadow gold milk |
3 eggs, beaten |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
2 tablespoons chopped green bell peppers |
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425. Bake pastry shell 8 minutes; remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350. 2. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, toss cheese with flour and bouillon; add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into prepared pastry shell. Bake 40-45 minutes or until set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers. |
