Swiss Chard with Almonds and Shallots |

I had some greens left over from another recipe. I thought the almonds might complement them, and happily, it turned out well. This makes a great side dish for two people. -Alisa Davis, Washington, DC Ingredients:
1 teaspoon olive oil |
2 tablespoons thinly sliced shallots |
3 cups sliced swiss chard (about 3 ounces) |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon slivered almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots; cook 2 minutes or until shallots begin to brown, stirring frequently. Stir in chard. Cover and cook 2 minutes or until chard wilts. Remove from heat; stir in salt and black pepper. Sprinkle with almonds. |
