From the book, Heart of the Palms Ingredients:
4 -6 small ripe tomatoes |
salt and pepper |
3 slices bread, crumbled |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
2 teaspoons butter, melted |
4 slices swiss cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Slice tomatoes in half. 2. Season lightly with salt and pepper. 3. Mix remaining ingredients, and pile lightly on tomato halves. 4. Broil until cheese begins to melt and topping is lightly browned. |
