A delicious rich and creamy soup that is good for those cold fall or winter days. A friend made this for me when I had my wisdom teeth taken out, and I fell in love with it. So simple to make, and goes great with salad or bread. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons instant chicken bouillon granules |
1 dash black pepper |
1 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli, thawed (or fresh) |
2 cups milk |
8 slices processed swiss cheese or 1 cup shredded swiss cheese |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 cups water |
1/2 cup cold water |
Directions:
1. Over medium heat, dissolve chicken granules in 1 1/2 cups water. Add broccoli, cover and cook 8-10 minute Add milk, cheese and pepper. Cook and stir til cheese melts. Combine flour with 1/2 cup cold water and stir into soup mixture. Cook and stir til thick and bubbly. |
