My Mom passed this recipe to me years ago and it's great with any kind of roast or grilled meat. Let me know what you think. Ingredients:
2 medium onions, finely chopped |
1 1/2 pounds mushrooms sliced |
1/4 cup white wine |
2 cups shredded swiss cheese |
6 tablespoons butter |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet heat the butter, add the mushrooms and onions, and saute until the liquid is evaporated. Stir in the wine, nutmeg, and pepper. Turn the mixture into a pie plate and sprinkle with the cheese and paprika. 2. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes until bubbly. |
