A great sauce for dipping spring rolls and egg rolls. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
1 cup broth or 1 cup water |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup cold water |
1 garlic clove |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Crush garlic clove with the salt; set aside. 2. Combine sugar, soy sauce, and broth; bring to a boil. 3. Add corn starch to cold water; mix until smooth; stir until the mixture thickens slightly. 4. Simmer, stirring for 1 minute. 5. Stir in garlic and salt mixture. 6. Serve warm or cold. |
