My Mom has used this recipe for years, it tastes great and is quick & easy to make. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup golden brown sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple (chunks or slices) |
1/3 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon soya sauce |
red food coloring |
Directions:
1. Blend dry ingredients in medium sized saucepan till free of lumps. 2. Add all liquids and stir well. 3. Cook over medium heat, stir constantly as will thicken quickly. 4. Add few drops of red food colouring till desired hue achieved. 5. Serve over cooked meats, rice or noodles. |
