This is a nice, different way to serve Aspaeagus. Serve cold as a salad dish. Ingredients:
1 lb asparagus, steamed for 8 minutes |
1/4 cup lite olive oil or 1/4 cup virgin olive oil, if you prefer |
3/4 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 cinnamon sticks |
1 teaspoon whole cloves |
1 teaspoon celery salt |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
lettuce leaf (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients (except asparagus) in a saucepan bring to a boil. 2. Pour over the asparagus and refrigerate for 24 hours Serve on lettuce leaves (Optional). |
