Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter or margarine |
1 small onion, finely chopped |
1 pound turnips, peeled and shredded |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and sauté 3 to 5 minutes or until tender. 2. Stir in turnips and remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring often, 20 minutes or until turnips are tender. (Turnips will turn a light brown-caramel color as they cook.) |
