If you are like me,busy,cooks alot,and dont have to much time (or energy),it can be a pain creating a recipe that calls for many ingredients you dont have,and more time.This is a great one. Dont let the lack of ingredients turn you away,this is a original,old fashioned recipe! I hope you like it! It came from a old recipe that was in my moms cookbook collection 8) Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons flour |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 egg |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 baked pastry shells |
whipped cream, for topping |
Directions:
1. Beat the egg,add the milk. 2. Cream together the butter,flour& sugar. 3. Add this to the egg mixture. 4. Cook on top of double boiler,until it thickens. 5. Stir constantly! 6. Let cool,then stir in vanilla extract. 7. Pour into the shell. 8. Spread the whipped cream over pie. |
