This is from an old Pillsbury cookbook that is falling apart. I don't have the front cover and part of the pages are torn. So, I'm going to share these before the book is completely destroyed. Ingredients:
2 tbs sugar |
2 tbs butter |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cake yeast |
2 eggs |
1/2 tsp salt |
4 cups pillsbury's best |
1/4 cup warm water |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar, then add the well-beaten youlks of the eggs and then the stiftly beaten whites. Sift in hte flour and salt and add the milk gradually. Add the yeast dissolved in the warm water. 2. Cover and let it rise. When very light, pour it into a buttered biscuit pan, filling it half full. Let it rise until the ban is quite full. 3. Bake in a moderate oven for thirty minutes. When done cut in long narrow strips. |
