The name says it all! This is a great way to use sweet potatoes and enjoy the taste they can give you along with some spices and a creamy icing. The serving size depends on how big of a piece you get each time, enjoy! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup cooking oil |
2 cup sugar |
4 eggs |
4 tablespoons hot water |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 1/2 cup sifted cake flour |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup raisins |
1 1/2 cup grated raw sweet potatoes |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
3 teaspoon baking powder |
Directions:
1. Combine cooking oil and sugar; beat until smooth 2. Add egg yolks; beat well 3. Add hot water, then dry ingredients( make sure they have been sifted together before adding) 4. Stir in potatoes, nuts, and vanilla; beat well 5. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes 7. Makes 4 layers 8.
