Yummy sweet potato casserole recipe with which I grew up. Nuts are essential to giving it that crunch , so if you don't like pecans, try walnuts or macadamias or cashews instead. Ingredients:
3 cups sweet potatoes, mashed (fresh or canned) |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup chopped pecans |
1/3 cup flour |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients and pour into greased baking dish. I use a round 9 inch fluted pyrex about 2 deep. 2. Mix topping ingredients together and spread/sprinkle on top of casserole. 3. Bake in a preheated 350*F oven for at least 35 minutes. |
