Yummy. This is a fabulous bread that goes well as a side dish or a nice breakfast or brunch treat. I like it served warm with butter and honey. Enjoy Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups raw grated sweet potato |
1 cup molasses |
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1 cup cream |
1 tablespoon shortening |
1 teaspoon grated orange peel |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. To grated potatoes add molasses, well beaten eggs, milk, shortening and orange peel. 2. Turn into an iron skillet and bake for 45 minutes at 350. 3. After 25 minutes sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over top. |
