SWEET POTATO ICE CREAM This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Kershaw Estate in Crandall, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
4 eggs separated |
2 cups sugar |
13 ounce can evaporated milk |
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
3 cup cooked drained creamed sweet potatoes |
8 cup homogenized milk |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites until stiff then add yolks and remaining ingredients and beat after each. 2. Freeze in hand or electric freezer. |
