My kids turn their noses up at sweet potatoes, except for these. Goes good with just about any sandwich. Fast and easy to make too! Prep time includes preheating oil. Ingredients:
1 (32-ounce) container canola oil |
2 medium sweet potatoes |
paper towels |
1 tsp cinnamon sugar |
Directions:
1. Place oil in large saucepan. Preheat on high 10-12 minutes, or until oil reaches 350 degrees. 2. Peel potatoes and slice in half then into 1/4-inch strips lengthwise. 3. Using tongs, place potatoes in oil. 4. Fry 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. 5. Place paper towels in medium mixing bowl. 6. Using slotted spoon, remove potatoes and place in bowl with paper towels. 7. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and toss to coat. |
