Family's FAVORITE sweet potato recipe. More like candy...can be used as a dessert! Ingredients:
3 (16 ounce) cans sweet potatoes (drained) |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup flour |
1 cup pecans (chopped) |
1/4 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Potatoes: 2. Mash sweet potatoes until creamy. 3. Melt butter and add it along with all other ingredients and mix well. 4. Spread in a 9x13 well-buttered pan. 5. Topping: 6. Mix melted butter with brown sugar, flour and chopped nuts. 7. Mix with fork. 8. Spread evenly over sweet potato mixture. 9. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes. |
