Easy sidedish to go with special dinners, holiday dinners, or anytime you want something a little sweet on the side. Ingredients:
3 medium sweet potatoes |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon honey |
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar |
1 dash nutmeg |
3/4 cup miniature marshmallow |
Directions:
1. Peel, rinse, cube, and boil the sweet potatoes until soft, about 25 minutes. 2. Preheat oven to 350°. 3. Use 1 tablespoon butter to generously grease bottom of small casserole. 4. Place the cooked sweet potato chunks in the buttered casserole. 5. Sprinkle on the brown sugar, salt, nutmeg. 6. Drizzle on the honey. 7. Top with the remaining butter. 8. Place in the preheated, 350° oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. 9. Remove, give them a brisk stir to evenly distribute butter. 10. If you like them really sweet, top with marshmallows and placed under broiler for 3 or 4 minutes. |
