Great Kugel recipe for Rosh Hashana or to enjoy anytime! Ingredients:
10 ounces wide egg noodles |
6 eggs |
4 ounces melted margarine or 4 ounces butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup parve non-dairy milk substitute or 1/2 cup milk |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice |
1/2 cup golden raisin |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup corn flake crumbs |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Cook noodles and drain. 2. Mix together next nine ingredients. 3. Add cooked noodles. 4. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. 5. Mix the topping ingredients together and sprinkle over kugel. 6. If desired, you may increase the amount of topping ingredients proportionately to make an even sweeter, crunchier top. 7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. 8. Enjoy! |
