The sweet and sour combination in this delicious appetizer ensures a delicious treat for houseguests! This recipe makes a lot and can be cut in half for smaller crowds. Ingredients:
1 lb cream cheese |
2 (16 ounce) bags frozen mixed peppers |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 cup vinegar |
Directions:
1. Put peppers in colander and sprinkle with salt. 2. Let set 1 hour. 3. Rinse. 4. Put all ingredients except cheese in large saucepan and bring to a boil. 5. Simmer 1 hour. 6. Remove from heat. 7. Cool. 8. Spoon pepper mixture over cream cheese and serve with crackers or breadsticks. |
