Sweet 'n' Sour Meatballs

From my collection of handwritten recipes. Thaw a package (12) of meatballs prior to making these.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup catsup
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 bell pepper, cut in strips
1 (14 ounce) can chunk pineapple, drained
12 freezer meatballs, thawed
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except bell pepper, pineapple, and meatballs; mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens. Reduce heat. Add pepper, pineapple and meatballs; simmer uncovered 10 minutes or until heated through. Serve over rice or with toothpicks.
